Well Baby Clinic

CONSULTATIONS:

All consultations are pre-booked to avoid long waits and are charged at Recommended Medical Aid tariffs, payable at the time of consultation and claimable from registered Medical Aids.

IMMUNISATIONS:

The Dunvegan Baby Clinic is registered as a Private Provider with the National Department of Health to provide  both State and Private immunisations.

We follow the Department of Health Expanded Program of Immunisation Schedule with the addition of recommended Optional Extra Vaccines as well.

The staff regularly attend vaccine update courses in order to provide the best service we can to our babies.

We use a special vaccine fridge which maintains the cold chain which is imperative in the climate we live in and with the ongoing problem of electricity outages.

DEVELOPMENTAL ASSESSMENTS:

Babies are routinely screened for growth and Development before Immunisations unless they have visited a Paediatrician for an assessment just prior to a vaccine visit.

We also recommend a developmental assessment 3-monthly until the age of 18 months either with a Paediatrician or by the Clinic Sisters in order to pick up any possible problems which can then be referred for treatment or corrective therapy  as soon as possible.
